About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our walking program in the community. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding volunteers and participants on regular walks, promoting physical activity and social connection among local residents.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. You will also be comfortable with public speaking and able to convey information about the benefits of walking and healthy living.

Responsibilities
  • Lead group walks in the community, promoting physical activity and social connection among participants.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer walk leaders to support the program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the program and secure funding.
  • Conduct outreach and education activities to raise awareness about the benefits of walking and healthy living.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of public health principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and able to convey information to groups.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not required).
