Armagh, United Kingdom HAYS Specialist Recruitment Full time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our team as a SHEQ Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to work on a diverse range of civil engineering projects in Ireland and the UK.

As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in overseeing and implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures under the support of the HSEQ Manager. Your duties will include conducting site inspections and audits, assisting with IMS administration, incident reporting, accident investigation, and preparing construction phase health and safety plans.

You will also be responsible for preparing and issuing safety alerts and toolbox talks on site, as well as assisting with SHEQ bid writing and PQQ/ITT submissions. Your time will be split between head office in Co. Armagh and various sites across Northern Ireland.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working in a similar position within a construction environment, ideally within the civil engineering or utilities sector. You should demonstrate a working knowledge of HSE standards and audit procedures, with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs and 9001 throughout a live project.

You must be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

What We Offer

This is a rare opportunity to work for a market-leading contractor on a variety of projects here at home, without the need for frequent travel to the UK or ROI. You will have the chance to progress your career and gain invaluable experience under the support of a seasoned HSEQ Manager.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
