Job Summary:
As a Civil Engineer with our company, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of our construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to develop project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges.
- Design and plan construction layouts, including roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assessments to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the construction process.
- Participate in project meetings and present progress reports to management and clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in civil engineering, preferably within the residential property market.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on projects within the £1 million to £7 million range is desirable.
