Senior Information Security Analyst
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Analyst to support our Information Security team in ensuring the effectiveness of our security controls, governance, and assurance activities. The successful candidate will provide technical security expertise to assist the Information Security Manager in implementing and operating information security in an appropriate manner as we transition to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide security and risk assessment consultancy on projects and other formal workgroups and committees, making recommendations for risk mitigation to ensure IT Security is considered in the design of new services or changes to existing services.
- Provide security expertise in cloud security on Azure and Microsoft 365, including security and compliance controls and general input to the security architecture across the cloud estate.
- Perform security risk assessments, followed by initiating and managing remedial action, to ensure IT infrastructure and application systems are adequately protected.
- Escalate unresolved security exposures, misuse of resources, or non-compliance situations to management.
- Ensure Change Management processes include a security review and sign off all Firewall rule set and networking changes to maintain the integrity of the client's network security.
- Support the information security team in day-to-day activities, including security monitoring, incident management, and a future 24x7 support rota.
- Provide mentoring to junior security team members.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Azure security technologies and hands-on experience with operating them. This role requires an average of two days per week on site at our Kings Hill office in Kent, which is a non-negotiable requirement.
