Job Title: Commercial Insurance Account Broker

Are you an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker looking for a new challenge in Leeds? A respected insurance brokerage is seeking a skilled Commercial Insurance Account Broker to join their team, focusing on SME clients.

Job Details:

Position: Commercial Insurance Account Broker
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Working Model: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and grow a portfolio of SME and Corporate insurance clients
  2. Process client accounts using Acturis insurance software
  3. Develop strong relationships with Leeds businesses through regular contact
  4. Identify insurance gaps and client exposures in commercial sectors
  5. Negotiate with insurers for new business, renewals, and policy amendments
  6. Achieve high client retention rates (>90%) and new business conversion
  7. Provide expert commercial insurance advice to Leeds-based businesses
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in commercial insurance broking, especially with SME clients
  2. In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and market trends
  3. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  4. Proficiency in Acturis or similar insurance broking systems
  5. Commitment to professional development in the insurance industry
  6. Understanding of FCA compliance standards for insurance brokers
