We are seeking a highly qualified expert to join our team at Quantinuum in Golden Valley, MN, as a Lead Hardware Deployment Engineer. This advanced opportunity involves supporting the deployment of our Helios systems for our Hardware-as-a-Service business. The ideal candidate will have significant exposure to and expertise with our hardware and software, as well as a strong background in physics, engineering, or computer science.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful disassembly, relocation, reassembly, and deployment of Helios systems to customer sites. Additionally, they will provide on-site service and maintenance of Helios with the support of subject matter experts and a global team. This will involve integration and validation efforts at the Quantinuum site prior to deployment and domestic and international travel to customer sites for extended periods for hardware deployment and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble, relocate, reassemble, and deploy Helios systems to customer sites
  • Provide on-site service and maintenance of Helios with the support of subject matter experts and a global team
  • Support integration and validation efforts at the Quantinuum site prior to deployment
  • Travel to customer sites for extended periods for hardware deployment and service
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 8+ years of post-graduate experience in a technical contributor role in an R&D or hardware production environment
  • Reliable access to transportation within one hour proximity of a major airport
  • Eligibility to complete international travel
  • Must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder
Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Business success, technical progress, and professionalism will be the utmost focus
  • Domestic and international travel will be up to 85% during deployment periods and up to 25% otherwise
