Time Series Forecasting Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our consultancy team at Discovered MENA. As a Senior Time Series Forecasting Expert, you will work closely with clients across industries such as Logistics, Retail, Food & Beverages, and Supply Chain to deliver cutting-edge forecasting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced time series forecasting models to support clients in logistics, retail, food & beverages, and supply chain management.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, seasonality, and patterns for predictive accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver actionable forecasting insights.
  • Optimize models to improve forecast precision for inventory, demand, and supply chain planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data science with a focus on time series forecasting, ideally within the logistics, retail, food & beverages, or supply chain sectors.
  • Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and econometrics.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and forecasting libraries such as Prophet, ARIMA, LSTM.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
