GKN Aerospace is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team, driving excellence and innovation in our East Cowes facilities.

About the Role

As an Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for achieving our People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost (PSQDCC) targets through the disciplined deployment of our Lean Operating Model. You'll lead a team of high-performing individuals, empowering them to deliver exceptional results and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve operational excellence across your designated area, aligning with our Performance Centre objectives.
  • Lead problem-solving and management system initiatives, using a 'Go to Gemba' approach to resolve issues within the zone.
  • Create a 'Great Place to Work' culture, developing and empowering team members to excel in their roles.
  • Manage a Zone budget, making informed decisions to drive business success.

Requirements

We're looking for a seasoned leader with:

Previous experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering industries.Demonstrable leadership skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
