Class 1 HGV Driver Role

Wild Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV driver to join their team for a busy haulage company based in the Portsmouth area.

This is a temporary to permanent position, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team after 12 weeks as an agency driver.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £16.35, with enhanced rates for weekend work.

As a Class 1 HGV driver, you will be responsible for covering refrigerated and general haulage work, with a minimum of 6 hours of work on Saturdays and Sundays.

You will need to be flexible with your working days and be willing to work 2-3 nights per week.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Full UK Driving Licence with Category C+E, a Digi tacho card, and a valid CPC.

You will also need to have a minimum of 1 year's experience driving a Class 1 HGV vehicle.

Before starting the role, you will need to attend and pass an assessment.
