Parent Representative at Becton Hospital School

Nexus Academy Trust invites applications for the position of Parent Governor at Becton School. As a dedicated Parent Governor, you will work closely with our experienced leadership team to improve educational outcomes for our students. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our children and young people.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a child currently enrolled at Becton School. As a Parent Governor, you will be responsible for contributing to the Academy Council's discussions and decision-making processes. This may involve attending meetings, reviewing reports, and providing input on key issues affecting the school. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with other governors to develop effective governance strategies.
- Providing input on school policies and procedures.
- Supporting the development of educational programs and initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
As a Parent Governor, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children is essential. While formal qualifications are not necessary, some experience in education or a related field would be beneficial.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is £21,000-£26,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will also be entitled to enhanced DBS clearance and online searches as part of our due diligence process. As a valued member of our team, you can expect to receive regular training and support to help you excel in your role.
