About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Microbiologist to join our team as a Locum Consultant in Microbiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on microbiological matters, as well as contributing to the delivery of undergraduate education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of undergraduate education in Microbiology, including teaching to Year 4 UCL clinical students.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on microbiological matters, including infection diagnosis, management, and treatment.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to microbiology and infectious diseases.

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) or CESR or European Community Rights.
  • An appropriate higher Medical Microbiology qualification.
  • Ability to demonstrate an interest in teaching and improving the processes involved in knowledge acquisition.
