Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Bartender to join our dynamic bar team at The Standard London. As a Senior Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering an unparalleled drinks experience for our discerning guests.

With a passion for service and a deep understanding of fine spirits, you will guide and recommend cocktails to our guests based on their preferences. Your expertise will also be instrumental in creating innovative Mexican-inspired cocktails that add a touch of personality and theatre to our guests' experience.

As a member of our high-volume, high-energy bar team, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with ease. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team will ensure seamless execution of our extensive drinks service across two bars, the main restaurant, and semi-private dining areas.

We offer a competitive salary of £15.55 per hour (incl. Tronc) plus additional tips and company benefits. Our 5-day working week provides set days off (Sundays & Mondays), and we operate late-night services until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

To succeed as a Senior Bartender at The Standard London, you will need:

  • Prior experience as a Senior Bartender or Cocktail Bartender with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds
  • Proven knowledge of spirits, well versed in both classic and contemporary cocktails with a good understanding of the latest trends in the London bar scene
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team
  • Prior experience using EPOS systems is advantageous, but full training will be given
  • Relevant qualifications such as WSET are advantageous but not essential
  • Availability for full-time work with a flexible schedule Tuesday-Saturday (Sundays & Monday off) and ability to work late-night services
