Job Title: Scientist Lab Operations

At Lifelancer, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scientist Lab Operations to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Assist in troubleshooting process improvements to increase data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times. Update standard procedures and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
  • Technical Support: Act as a technical resource for laboratory staff and support the team in the absence of the line manager.
  • Data Analysis: Perform routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations and that the results are within acceptable tolerances.
  • Error Identification and Documentation: Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate to senior lab personnel.
  • Data Preparation: Prepare data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff.
  • CAPA Investigations: Contribute to CAPA investigations, deviations, and resolution.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.
  • Experience: Previous working experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency with routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens, including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics. Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
