Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool Management Center Technician to join our team at Atlas Copco. As a key member of our UK Service Team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining production assembly tooling at our customer premises in Leyland, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and carry out preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Highlight areas of improvement in production line assembly processes, assembly and tightening strategies, equipment schedules, and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
  • Re-program and upgrade assembly tools and controller systems to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
  • Provide 2nd line support to customers as required, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with internal Atlas Copco departments to ensure seamless offsite activities and effective communication.
  • Organize and manage spare parts requirements for maintained equipment to minimize delays and optimize inventory.
  • Implement 5S processes in the provided workspace, adhering to customer site protocols and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or proven experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years).
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite and Windows environment, with experience in software, networking protocols, and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of industrial power tools and spindles, including pneumatic, battery, and DC systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or customer service environment, with a proven track record of providing excellent service to customers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
