NHS Head of Patient Safety Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Head of Patient Safety at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational delivery of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy and Incident Response Framework across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in patient safety, with experience in leading and managing teams, and a proven track record of improving patient safety outcomes. You will work closely with the Patient Safety Specialist, clinical leaders, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective patient safety strategies and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and operational delivery of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy and Incident Response Framework
- Lead and manage teams to improve patient safety outcomes
- Develop and implement effective patient safety strategies and initiatives
- Work closely with the Patient Safety Specialist, clinical leaders, and other stakeholders to achieve patient safety goals
- Ensure that patient safety-related responsibilities are effectively aligned throughout the organisation
- Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council /Health Care Professions Council or other Healthcare body
- Patient Safety Science or human factors qualification or equivalent experience (or working towards)
- Management qualification, Master's degree or equivalent experience
