Role Overview:

The Route Optimization Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries while upholding safety and regulatory standards. This involves leading a team of drivers and transport staff, overseeing smooth scheduling, compliance, and performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:
    1. Supervise and motivate a team of drivers and transport staff
    2. Conduct team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews
    3. Handle return-to-work and Bradford Factor meetings
  2. Scheduling and Coordination:
    1. Plan and adjust transport schedules to meet delivery requirements
    2. Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimise loads and routes
    3. Respond to changes in demand or unforeseen logistical challenges
  3. Compliance and Safety:
    1. Enforce legal requirements and company transport policies
    2. Conduct safety audits and promote safe driving practices
    3. Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
