CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced gas engineer to join their team on a mobile basis. This role involves carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work, for commercial buildings in the Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Perth region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform planned preventative maintenance and complete relevant paperwork and reports.
  2. Carry out reactive and planned commercial maintenance tasks.
  3. Conduct maintenance and repair work, including fabric and basic electrical tasks, as required under contract.
  4. Ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales.
  5. Verify that all certification is correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified.
  6. Respond to reactive and emergency tasks and utilize handheld technology effectively.
  7. Participate in an on-call out-of-hours rota to provide clients with full coverage and assist other team members as needed.
  8. Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted within the specified timescales.
  9. Monitor visiting sub-contractors regarding the standard of work and Health and Safety, and issue appropriate permits as required.
Person Specification:
  1. Hold a City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  2. Possess Commercial Gas Safe qualifications, including COCN1/CODNCO1 minimum.
  3. Have good commercial gas maintenance knowledge.
  4. Have extensive experience working in commercial environments.
  5. Be familiar with maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on various equipment, including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting (where applicable).
  6. Have knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
