The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As a key player in our Operational Management team, you will provide leadership and support for a team of direct reports in the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include planning, delegating, and monitoring the workload across all warehouse functions to meet operational service levels.
You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills to drive positive changes in company culture, team performance, and operational processes. You will also be an advocate of our Knowles Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with processes at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and objectives
- Plan and delegate workload to ensure efficient use of resources
- Monitor and report on operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
- Provide training and support to new starters and existing staff
- Manage and support short and long-term absences from the team
- Manage conduct and performance issues within the team
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience with using WMS systems
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-sufficiency, ability to work on own initiative, and to tight deadlines
- Good time-keeping, highly organized, and adaptable to change
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid understanding of relevant health and safety practices
- Excellent numerical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Competence with Microsoft Excel and Word
