We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Manager to join our team at Js3 Recruitment.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse to take on a leadership role in our Paediatric Intensive Care unit. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, developing and implementing holistic care plans, and supervising staff members.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, manage resources effectively, and ensure accurate documentation within agreed timescales.
  • As a senior nurse, you will be accountable for the nursing management of a designated area, providing mentorship and support to junior staff members, and promoting family-centered care.
Responsibilities
  1. Taking responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.
  2. Coordinating patient care with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Managing allocated resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of equipment, supplies, and personnel.
  4. Ensuring accurate and timely completion of documentation, maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
  5. Providing mentorship and support to student nurses, creating a positive and challenging learning environment.
  6. Developing tailored care plans for all patients in the designated clinical area, ensuring individualized and effective care delivery.
Requirements
  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support certification.
  • Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting, with a strong understanding of child development and pediatrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits
