Finance Director Opportunity

Brellis Recruitment is delighted to represent a well-respected and successful client seeking a Finance Director to join their Leadership Board of Directors.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and setting the group's Finance Strategy, aligning with the company's growth DNA and business plan. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a finance team of 7 people, split between Operational Finance and management accounts.
  • Effectively managing and mentoring the team, ensuring they remain motivated and able to carry out their jobs effectively.
  • Controlling all finance functions and budgets, setting targets and objectives.
  • Collaborating with fellow Leadership Directors to drive business performance.
  • Contributing to the development of the business plan, adding or amending as required.
  • Agreeing and controlling annual financial budgets and cost centre control for each division and department.
  • Presenting business performance, outlook, risks, and opportunities to the Leadership team and key stakeholders.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior Finance Director level role, within similar sized organisations or similar levels of revenue.
  • Experience of VAT, Payroll, Customs, and Tax.
  • Experience of managing multiple teams in a similar sized organisation.
  • Proven experience at a senior level selling physical products, demonstrating sales of large ranges of products.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • High standard in Microsoft Office, especially Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of an ERP system and data analysis.
