About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Roman Catholic chaplain to join our team at HM Prison Bure. The successful candidate will provide faith and pastoral care to prisoners and staff of their own faith tradition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on Roman Catholic beliefs and practices in the establishment.
  • Plan and lead worship, meditation, prayer, and faith-specific meetings.
  • Facilitate opportunities for worship, study, and religious programs.
Requirements:
  • Be an ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church or an ordained Permanent Deacon, Religious Brother or Sister, or a suitably qualified lay person.
  • Hold formal endorsement from the appropriate Diocesan Bishop or Religious Superior.
  • Have completed formally recognized theological formation.
