We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Team for a Global Infrastructure Business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Environmental control and monitoring of a major Substation and power infrastructure upgrade programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Acting as the Environmental Advisor on the project with the full support of the Environmental Manager.
  2. Representing Environmental issues in collaborative meetings.
  3. Assisting with production and review of methods statements and risk assessments.
  4. Collating subcontractor information from site to assist with monthly sustainability reporting.
  5. Undertaking Environmental inspections and audits.
  6. Providing environmental advice with regards to legal compliance and construction to the survey team.
  7. Monitoring contractors to ensure effective delivery of obligations.
  8. Coordinating and liaising with the Design Joint Venture to ensure the timely exchange of environmental assessments and specialist resources in line with the programme of works.
  9. Reviewing and inputting into project work package plans and task briefs as required.
  10. Attending consultations with local authorities, local enquiries and other statutory bodies where required.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience gained as an Environmental Consultant/Advisor.
  2. Knowledge of construction methods and, particularly the environmental impact associated with major construction projects.
  3. Awareness of all current and future environmental legislation, and a working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation is essential.
Desirable:
  1. Qualified Environmental specialist or a related discipline is desirable.
  2. A valid CSCS card to visit sites is desirable.
