Contract Role – Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (DC/Datacentre, VMware, NSX/ACI)
We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to support a part of our end client's new data centre build. Ideally, the candidate should have recent experience—within the last 3 years or so—focused on private cloud, VMware, IAAS integration, migrations with NSX and ACI integration would be a bonus. Essentially, someone who's been involved in building the platform rather than simply consuming it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions for data centres.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with existing systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure configurations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure, data centre design, and VMware.
- Experience with NSX and ACI integration a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
About the Programme:
The programme involves building the data centre, fit-out, setting up shared services and ecosystems, and migrating the bank's operations to the new data centre without impacting service.
- The programme is expected to run until the end of 2027.
- The bank has a small core team of around 18 people and relies on resource augmentation to bring in skills as needed to meet demand peaks.
