Candidate must have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and at least 10 years' experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor.

A competitive salary of around £80,000 per annum is available, along with benefits and career development opportunities within a growing company.

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and proficiency in using MS Office and cost management software.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and commercial management of M&E projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Review construction information (Contract Documents)
  • Review and understand tender information and tender Bills of Quantities
  • Prepare Cost Plans in-line with Commercial Standard Operating Procedure
  • Report on Cost Plans monthly internally, highlighting any potential issues
  • Procure all major supplier and sub-contractor packages in-line with Commercial SOP
  • Prepare & Submit Monthly Interim Valuations
  • Prepare/Submit Sub-Contract documents to Sub-Contractors in-line with Commercial SOP
  • Issue all Main Contract Documents / Collateral Warranties up the line for review
  • Track Labour hours on each project and highlight any potential issues
  • Audit Sub-Contractor applications for payment (Valuations) and prepare pay-less notices to each where applicable
  • Audit sub-contractor variations monthly
  • Review Site Programmes regularly with respect to delays, disruption and programme
  • Attend internal and external commercial meetings as required
  • Respond to all letters in a fitting and contractual manner to ensure the company's position is always protected
  • Create and maintain Sharepoint document management system as appropriate
  • Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.

Requirements:

A Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor.

Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and proficiency in using MS Office and cost management software.
