The role of Warehouse Production Team Leader is an exciting opportunity to join the production team at a leading organization based in Red Lodge. This permanent position involves working closely with the production operatives to achieve exceptional performance and service levels, while supporting the overall planning, operation, and performance of the team and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the immediate needs of the production operation, ensuring safety, performance, processes, and people issues are addressed. They will work alongside five other Operational Team Leaders and report directly to the Production Controller on a day-to-day basis.

This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to co-ordinate action and resource where required, provide support and regular updates to the Warehouse Management Team, and promote efficient and safe operation of the warehouse production processes and machines.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • People: To be accountable to the Production Controller for providing information on production schedule planning, labour and resource planning, overprinting and packing machine operation, safety and quality, attendance and timekeeping, operational cover, and training needs.
  • Processes: To understand current processes, including SAP, for MTO printing and product repack, promote change as required, and provide support for operational and office teams.
  • Health and Safety: To support all health and safety rules and regulations, provide informed information on accidents and near misses, and help manage and implement preventative actions.
  • Supplier Deliveries/Compliance: To monitor and feedback on supplier deliveries, directly liaise with and manage supplier drivers, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Customer Service Levels: To support the Warehouse Management Team in achieving on-time delivery to customers, ensure efficient and accurate service levels, build rapport and relations with other departments, and be proactive in supporting customer needs.
  • Maintenance: To understand the set-up, operation, and preventative maintenance of production machinery, ensure high standards of housekeeping, and support the Warehouse Management Team in ensuring the integrity of all fixtures and fittings.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of previous experience in managing work and people, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong awareness of performance management, including attendance, disciplinary, safety, and quality systems. They should also be able to work shifts and be flexible when required to meet the needs of the business.
