Job Title: Strategic Philanthropy Officer

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Philanthropy Officer to join our team at Principal People Recruitment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual with a strong background in external fundraising to make a real difference in the lives of people across the UK.

As a Strategic Philanthropy Officer, you will be responsible for securing critical funding that aligns with our mission. You will work closely with our client to develop winning bids, tenders, and proposals to drive impactful change in communities. Your exceptional communication and presentation skills will enable you to cultivate and sustain relationships with key funders, community organisations, and business partners.

This role requires a strong understanding of grant applications, bid writing, and managing public sector tenders. Experience in stakeholder management and leading collaborative projects will be highly valued. A background in the housing or charity sectors is advantageous, as is familiarity with CIOF and financial systems.

The estimated salary for this position is £58,000 - £68,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are passionate about fundraising and excited to make a difference, please apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with our client to implement a fundraising plan with measurable, community-centred impact.
  2. Funding Acquisition: Develop winning bids, tenders, and proposals to secure critical funding that aligns with our mission.
  3. Project Leadership: Manage funding projects that bring essential resources to community and charity partners.
  4. Governance: Ensure full compliance with fundraising requirements, maintaining accurate records and meeting funder guidelines.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and sustain relationships with key funders, community organisations, and business partners.
  6. Communication Support: Work alongside our communications team to boost visibility and celebrate the impact of initiatives.
