We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the prestigious Hinkley Point C project in Somerset, UK. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future by working on complex piping and cabling systems within the MEH Alliance.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in installing, assembling, and precision lining and levelling of mechanical plant and equipment, as well as knowledge of mechanical jointing techniques. A background in nuclear power is preferred, but not essential. You will also possess an NVQ 3 / Ace Card in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent, and hold a CCNSG Safety Passport.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Requirements:

  • Install, assemble, and precision line and level mechanical plant and equipment
  • Work with mechanical engineering drawings, general arrangement drawings, and method statements
  • Perform hand and machine shaping of materials and components
  • Test mechanical equipment and pipework, employing fault-finding techniques
