Key Highlights:

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Anaesthesia Specialist to join our Obstetric Anaesthesia team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing anaesthesia services for patients on Labour Ward, including labour analgesia and regional/general anaesthesia for Caesarean Sections. They will also participate in daily ward rounds, pre-assessments, and HDU care when needed.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing anaesthesia services for patients on Labour Ward
  • Participating in daily ward rounds and pre-assessments
  • Assisting with HDU care when needed
  • Providing teaching and educational events to cover all levels of training
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration
  • Primary Medical Degree (MBChB, MBBS or equivalent)
  • FFICM, FRCA/FCARCSI qualifications
  • Experience in obstetric anaesthesia preferred

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to gain further experience in clinical anaesthesia, teaching, audit, and quality improvement. The post will be supported by a named clinical and educational supervisor and can be tailored to the successful applicant's interests.
