About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our team at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. As a key member of our Family & Children Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our solicitors and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with a range of Family matters, such as LAA Funded and Private client work
  • Undertake your own advocacy and attend clients, taking instructions and preparing cases
  • Deal with correspondence, prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, and prepare draft documents
  • Attend conferences and court, maintaining accurate time costing procedures and implementing recommendations made by your supervisor
Requirements
  • Demonstrate passion and legal experience in a broad range of Family Law
  • A strong academic background with a Law degree
  • Clear understanding and application of Family Laws
  • Business acumen and the ability to market the Company
  • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
  • Committed team player, self-motivated and professional
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
