Gastrointestinal Imaging Specialist

About the Role

The Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled GI Imaging Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time position primarily based at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen sites.

Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a license to practice and have successfully completed the final FRCR examination (FRCR 2B). Those from non-majority English speaking countries will need to provide proof of competency in English.

This role offers exposure to all aspects of gastrointestinal imaging, including MR and CT small bowel imaging, MR proctography, CT colonography, hepatic and pancreatic imaging, contrast and endo-anal ultrasound, PET CT, and endoscopic imaging interpretation.

The department performs interventional oncology treatments, such as ablation and TACE, with associated diagnostic work-up and follow-up imaging. The successful candidate will participate in daily departmental management, acute cover, quality improvement projects, and data collection for KPIs and national audits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Exposure to all aspects of gastrointestinal imaging
  • Performing interventional oncology treatments
  • Participating in daily departmental management and quality improvement projects
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • GMC registration which permits working in non-training posts
  • Eligible to work in the UK at commencement
  • Fit to practice

We offer a competitive salary package and a supportive work environment. The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000, depending on experience.
