About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Connectment. As a key member of our Commercial Operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Takeoff and Pricing: Assist with the takeoff and pricing of tender packages, ensuring accurate and timely completion of monthly applications.
  • Debtors Management: Verify client payments against applications and provide debtors position to the Head of Commercial, taking action to reduce outstanding accounts.
  • Subcontract Management: Manage subcontract packages, including management and payments of labour and plant gangs on site.
  • Contract Variations: Accurately price and negotiate contractual variations with clients, ensuring effective commercial management.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple schemes simultaneously, attending site meetings and working closely with project teams.
  • Team Development: Provide development and support to other Commercial team members, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: QS degree or relevant Cost/Commercial discipline.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role for major house builders.
  • Skills: Effective communication skills, proficient IT skills, strong working knowledge of Excel and Bluebeam, sound commercial acumen, and ability to work under pressure.
  • License: Driving License.
