We are seeking an experienced Financial Distress Analyst to join our team in London. This is a unique opportunity to work with a top-tier Credit Fund and contribute to the success of our investment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of distressed and liquid credit securities, evaluating financial statements, legal documentation, and industry trends.
  • Evaluate restructuring and workout scenarios to determine optimal investment strategies and present findings to portfolio managers and investment committees.
  • Monitor distressed credits and collaborate with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to implement investment strategies and manage portfolio risk.
  • Stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends that may impact distressed and liquid credit markets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CFA preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in distressed debt analysis, liquid credit research, or related fields within the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques, financial modelling, and valuation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy and restructuring processes, including legal frameworks and creditor rights.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Excel) for data analysis and modelling.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is £100,000 - £150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
