About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Team Leader to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor picking operations to ensure safety and performance are maintained in-line with company expectations and targets
  • Accurately receive, pick, and dispatch pallets
  • Maintain stock control in line with company policy and procedure
  • Engage with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice and understand any issues preventing them from achieving optimal pick rates
  • Take action to rectify any system or facility issues affecting optimal pick rates
  • Ensure warehouse operatives follow company procedure in terms of safety and picking operations
  • Carry out performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with direct reports to maintain company standards and targets

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working within the warehouse/transport environment
  • Hold a current LLOP, VNA, counterbalance licence
  • IT knowledge including warehouse management systems (Manhattan Scale)
  • Ability to lead change, engage, and communicate with the team
  • Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
