An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in a reputable hospital based in the UK. You will be part of a leading healthcare provider, delivering high-quality care to patients with mental illness and personality disorder.

This hospital offers a range of services, including acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the local healthcare trust. The hospital has a Medium Secure Services on site for patients with a learning disability, and there are plans to develop other service types in the future.

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin. As a Nurse, your key duties will include:

  • Providing a high standard of care to patients with mental illness and personality disorder
  • Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
  • Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
  • At a more senior level, you'll also need to lead shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
  • Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
