About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Director to lead our Energy Operations team at Dovetail & Slate | B Corp™. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 15 engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across solar, wind, battery storage, and gas technologies, ensuring they align with our company's strategic goals.
  • Grid Stability: Lead initiatives focused on grid stability, ensuring the seamless integration of renewable energy sources into the national grid.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and manage reporting suites to track project performance, identify risks, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Cross-Technology Integration: Ensure the effective integration of multiple technologies, optimizing performance and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the future direction of our company's engineering operations, aligning with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, clients, and partners.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering operations role within the energy sector, preferably with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Technical expertise in solar, wind, battery storage, and gas technologies.
  • Experience in grid stability projects and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in integrating renewable energy into the grid.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
