SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our skilled educators to provide tailored support to children with Autism and other complex SEN needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities that cater to the unique needs of each child.
- Support children in their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Help maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the well-being of all students.
- Monitor and document children's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is preferred.
- Experience working with children in educational settings, particularly with Autism or special educational needs, is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, understanding, and flexible approach to supporting young learners.
