We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our Risk & Compliance team at Gatehouse Bank plc. As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing the Bank's approach to Operational Risk by supporting the enhancement of the Bank's control framework.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quality reviews, taking a risk-based approach, to identify potential operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigating actions are in place.
- Monitor output from all first-line areas to identify potential operational risks and provide recommendations for remediation, improvement of controls, staff training or coaching.
- Support the Operational Risk Manager to develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk appetite metrics with divisions in accordance with the Bank's Risk Appetite.
- Support business areas with Risk & Control Self Assessments to ensure all processes are captured and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the RCSA output.
- Assist with the production of high-quality reports/presentation packs for sharing with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of UK banking and risk management & controls principles appropriate to the three lines of defence model.
- Knowledge and understanding of risk control arrangements.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment and key regulatory regimes.
- Understanding of and compliance with group policies including Conduct Risk.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong team skills.
