Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and delivering value to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rationalize and Develop the Supplier Base
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier rationalization strategy to optimize our supplier base.
    • Identify and engage with new suppliers to meet our business needs.
  • Plan and Manage Categories
    • Develop and implement category management strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
    • Manage category budgets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement goals and targets are understood and met.
    • Communicate procurement strategies and initiatives to stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage the Tender Process
    • Develop and manage the tender process for goods and services, ensuring alignment with business requirements and KPIs/SLAs.
    • Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships during the contracting process.
  • Support Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 Years Procurement Experience
    • Proven experience in procurement with a focus on strategic sourcing and category management.
  • Contract Law and Contract Drafting
    • Experience in contract law and contract drafting, with a focus on procurement contracts.
  • Commercial Acumen and Negotiation Skills
    • Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Category Experience
    • Essential indirect category experience for both goods and services.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
