Senior Residential Care Worker

- Care Planning and Risk Assessment: As a Children Senior Residential Support Worker, you will contribute to creating and implementing care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person. This includes assessing and mitigating risks to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Relationship Building: Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if applicable), and external agencies is crucial for delivering exceptional support and services. You will work closely with these stakeholders to understand their needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Maintaining a Safe Environment: Ensuring the home is kept clean and tidy is essential for creating a safe and healthy environment for our young people. You will adhere to the cleaning rota system and encourage the young people to participate as appropriate.
- Record Keeping: Accurate and comprehensive record-keeping is vital for maintaining high standards of professionalism. You will maintain good quality records with supervision and advice from shift managers.
- Professional Development: We expect all our team members to uphold the highest standards of professionalism expected by Esland and Ofsted. You will contribute to promoting residential care work through education, training, and best practices.
- Educational and Social Development: Supporting the educational and social development of each young person is a top priority. You will assist in implementing Individual Education Programs and help maximize opportunities for their growth and progress.
- Meeting Needs: Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people is critical. You will work collaboratively to assess and address their needs, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive.
- Leadership Role: As a senior member of the team, you will provide support to the deputy/manager of the home while on shift and perform senior duties as directed.
- Health and Wellbeing: Ensuring the health needs of young people are assessed and provided for is essential. You will develop and maintain effective working partnerships with health professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Therapeutic Activities: Encouraging participation in therapeutic, social, and recreational activities/opportunities for individual or groups of young people is a key aspect of this role. You will ensure that all children have access to a full and appropriate education timetable.
- Education Advocacy: Forming positive relationships within education institutions is crucial for leading, promoting, and advocating for the educational needs and rights of the child.
