Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our client, a niche heavy machinery manufacturer, in the Cookstown area. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new products from concept to completion, modifying existing machinery to meet customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new products from concept through to completion
  • Modify existing range of machinery to meet bespoke customer requirements
  • Produce working drawings and engineering specifications, including BOMs and operator manuals
  • Specify components for new and existing products
  • Ensure new and existing products comply with relevant regulations
  • Attend occasional client site visits to understand needs and establish effective design

Requirements

  • Experience in full product design in a heavy engineering environment, such as recycling, screening & crushing, agricultural machinery, trailers, or similar
  • Competent in the use of Solid Works / Solid Edge / Creo or similar
  • A creative and innovative thinker
  • Good interpersonal skills

What We Offer
