We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Cook to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for delivering a varied menu that is healthy and nutritionally balanced, meeting specific dietary requirements for our customers in our residential care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for our residents, ensuring that all food is of high quality and presented in an appealing manner.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Manage kitchen resources, including inventory and budgeting, to ensure that we are operating within our means.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met, and that our kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
- A recognised catering qualification, such as a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and additional HACCP accreditation.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours, including evenings and weekends.
