Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £45,000-£60,000, depending on experience. The position also offers competitive overtime payments, call-out fees, and daily allowances. Additionally, employees enjoy 25 days of paid holiday, plus enhanced entitlement based on length of service.

Job Description

To deliver maximum availability of gas engines and related plant through scheduled maintenance, trouble-shooting, and fault rectification. This involves fast response to customer issues, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on gas engines and associated plant
  • Respond to customer calls promptly, resolving issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of site visits, service reports, and part usage
  • Document all site activities in accordance with quality standards
  • Support Area Service Manager in supervising apprentices and new employees

Requirements

This role requires a high level of engineering skill, preferably with NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical qualification. You should have at least 5 years of experience in service engineering, be IT literate, and hold a valid Gas Safe registration.

Able to work independently, willing to travel extensively, and flexible with regards to hours worked. Knowledge of gas engine technology and markets is desirable but not essential.
