About the Role:

In this exciting role as a Phlebotomy Supervisor with SYNLAB UK & Ireland, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of phlebotomy staff in outpatients, wards, and community settings across Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, Southend University Hospital, and other local community clinics throughout South Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of phlebotomy staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with clinicians, hospital staff, and occupational health providers to provide pathology services
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure excellent patient experience and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to support continuous improvement

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 12 months previous phlebotomy experience
  • Phlebotomy qualification
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
