Financial Controller - Defence UK and International

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our Defence UK and International businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the financial systems and production of financial accounts for Defence UK and International businesses.
  2. Ensure internal controls are maintained in compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal Group Policies.
  3. Senior Finance Lead for the Financial Controlling and Technical Accounting Function for United Kingdom and International Defence businesses.
  4. Lead all Management and Statutory accounting and reporting processes for Defence United Kingdom and International Defence businesses, liaising closely with the GBS team to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  5. Responsible for the statutory integrity of the P&L, Balance sheet and Cash Flow statement for the United Kingdom and International Defence businesses.
  6. Responsible for rolling out and embedding finance transformation process changes into the United Kingdom and International Defence businesses.
  7. Support management with information and reporting as required by the process, providing good quality management information to the business.
  8. Lead all external and internal audit activities for United Kingdom and International Defence businesses.

Requirements

  1. Relevant degree in a subject such as Maths, Business, or Economics, as well as having completed an accountancy qualification.
  2. Proven experience in finance management.
  3. Auditing experience.
  4. Strong leadership qualities.
