Job Summary

As a Production Shift Manager at Next Furniture Manufacturing, you will be responsible for leading a team of Production Supervisors to achieve daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver business operational plans. You will hold regular Production meetings to present shift requirements and provide accurate reporting data on our Woodmill, Upholstery, and Support Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Lean manufacturing practices across the shift to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Problem-solve complex workflow issues and work under pressure to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety and Quality teams to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance team to ensure equipment runs smoothly and minimize system downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster a healthy culture within the factory environment.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
  • People management experience and a proven track record of leading operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
