A leading financial services company is seeking a skilled Junior Database Administrator to join their talented Database team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing BAU support, configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server databases, and monitoring and reporting on database health checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing BAU Support to a talented Database team
  • Configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server databases
  • Monitoring and reporting on database health checks
  • Assisting in database deployments and maintenance
  • Scripting and automating processes for application delivery
  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure project delivery is correct

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience as a DBA, ideally working with SQL Server
  • Experience in dealing with Disaster Recover (DR)
  • Ideally you will have some automation skills, ideally Ansible would be great
  • Some programming skills, ideally with Python but Java, SQL, and PowerShell would be good too
  • A desire to learn and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly
