Job Title: Marine Technical Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Technical Advisor to join our Global Marine Technical Team within the bp Solutions, Logistics Services organization.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient marine technical support to our global operations and ensuring our contracted marine services are conducted safely and in accordance with bp requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver marine technical support to global operations teams, ensuring compliance with bp requirements.
  • Support regional operations teams with marine technical expertise and knowledge for all offshore marine vessel operations.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and marine processes as a marine subject matter expert for technical content.
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations, focusing on establishing root cause and applying preventative strategies for marine.
Requirements:
  • Holds or has held a Marine, Engineering, or ETO Certificate of Competency.
  • Advantageous - Experience supporting Offshore Wind Marine Activity and Operations, including SOV, CTV, and Installation Vessel Operations.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of industry requirements from the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and Classification Societies.
  • Experience in dynamically positioned vessel operations with a deep technical knowledge of industry process and guidance.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide cross-section of internal and external customers and partners.
