We're seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our engineering team at our Sheffield depot in Olive Grove.

You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of workshop equipment, including hydraulic vehicle lifts, pressured oil and waste systems, battery chargers and starters, trolley jacks, scaffolding, pressure wash and automatic washing equipment, headlamp alignment tester, hydraulic jacks and testing equipment, drilling machine, torque wrenches, pedestal grinders and general portable equipment.

As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with buses and coaches, working closely with other technicians to achieve timely repairs and maintenance.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest diagnostic and repair techniques.

About You:

  • You will be willing to complete an IRTEC accreditation and re-certification when required?
  • You can demonstrate capability in using current diagnostics, and be willing train staff on diagnostic and repair standards?
  • Can you train staff on diagnostic and repairs standards?
  • Will you be open to mentoring apprentices in the team?
  • Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1&2)?
  • A PCV licence isn't essential, we can support you in gaining it.
  • Do you have a flexible approach to work?

Working Shift Pattern:

  • 06:00 - 18:00
  • 4 on 4 off
