Property Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Property Inspector to join our Asset Management team at Paradigm Housing Group. As a Property Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough property inspections, ensuring quality standards are met, and producing detailed reports to support decision-making.

• Conduct property inspections for tenant home improvements, alterations, and mutual exchanges, ensuring compliance with quality standards and consent requirements.
• Carry out general property inspections, identifying defects and repairs, and raising work orders where necessary.
• Prepare detailed, accurate reports following inspections and provide support on project work as required by the Surveying Services Manager.
• Arrange appointments with customers, maintaining clear and accurate records of communications.
• Ensure inspections are completed on time and contribute to the team's KPI targets.
• Promote a culture of health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures during all inspections and tasks.
• Liaise with internal teams, such as Asset Management and Property Services, to ensure repairs and works are scheduled and completed within agreed timelines.

We are looking for an experienced property inspector with a background in housing or building, ideally with experience in the residential property sector. You should have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Your methodical approach helps you identify building defects effectively, and your customer-focused attitude ensures residents feel supported and valued.

• Relevant professional qualification in Social Housing or and/or suitable experience within the residential property sector.
• Experience in conducting property condition surveys and producing accurate, detailed written reports.
• Ability to identify basic building defects and a good understanding of building regulations and planning processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a personal vehicle
