Mental Health Support Assistant Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team at RIBBONS AND REEVES. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, SENDCo, and SEN professionals to support children with additional needs in inclusive education settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with SEMH needs through 1:1 and group work
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support pupil progress
  • Contributing to creating a safe and equitable environment for all pupils

Requirements:

  • Obtained a degree in Psychology/Education (with a specialised knowledge of SEMH) from a Top UK University
  • Previous experience and enthusiasm for working with children
  • Showcase excellent communication and organisational skills, patience, and resilience

Salary and Benefits: £475-£550 per week (inclusive of Holiday Pay), paid weekly via PAYE. Term time work only. Opportunities for rapid career progression, training, and support from experienced staff, SENDCo, and SEN Leadership Team Members.
